ABOUT MAKEDA
Makeda Hemans is a qualified Colon Hydrotherapist and Medical Herbalist (BSc Hons) dedicated to supporting health and wellbeing through natural therapies. She has a lifelong passion for plants — not only for their visual beauty and aroma but also for their ability to heal the body and mind.
From her early days as a girl guide with the 9th Clapham Park, camping and canoeing in the outdoors, to gardening alongside her father in Clapham, Makeda has always felt a strong connection with nature. She grew up sowing seeds, harvesting fruit and vegetables, and even preparing peppermint infusions to ease the occasional tummy ache — experiences that planted the roots of her career in holistic health.
Today, she combines her scientific training with a deep respect for nature, offering herbal medicine, colon hydrotherapy, and holistic therapies to help clients restore balance, improve digestion, and feel energised from the inside out.
MAKÉDA H
From an early age, Makeda has been fascinated by nature, the human body, and natural healing. Her own experience with severe acne as a teenager and adult led her to question conventional treatments such as steroids, and instead explore natural remedies, holistic nutrition, and alternative therapies.
This journey became the foundation for her lifelong commitment to natural health.
Makeda now lives in South London with her three daughters and granddaughter, who continue to inspire her creativity and grounded outlook on life. She starts most mornings with meditation, journaling, and gratitude — practices that reflect her belief in walking her talk and maintaining her own wellbeing.
As a qualified herbalist and colon hydrotherapist, Makeda combines training, intuition, and a deeply reassuring presence to help clients identify underlying imbalances and support their natural recovery.
Her goal is always to restore balance, build resilience, and promote long-term health through gentle, effective holistic care.
